Superbowl recap

After staying up and watching the superbowl until 0430, here are my thoughts on the game.

1. The Pats receivers need to understand that with 1 minute left in the game that you have to catch the ball instead of worry about trying to make the big play.

2.  The game went down to the last minute as was expected and it was a good tight game.

3.  My prediction on the score was close, although; I picked the wrong  winner.

4.  Tom Brady better hope that if he gets to play in the superbowl again that he does not play against the Giants.  If they do, all we’ll will hear about is “third time is a charm.”

5.  Finally, Madonna’s halftime show was better than any in the last 5 years.

Snow…finally!

Last night was a difficult night for sleep.  I couldn’t fall asleep until 0230.  However, that doesn’t help when your normal alarm is 0530.  Needless to say, I slept in until 0640 and finally drove to work.  I still got my morning workout in for the day.  I’ve found that if I get a good workout Monday morning, it makes the day and week better.

Today also started our “flight PT” sessions with no sign in log!  I took advantage of being told that I have to leave and went to the gym and got a little cardio in.  I completed the Air Force PT run on the treadmill.  As I was driving home, the snow really started to fall.  Not large snow flakes, but they stuck to the ground and accumulated!  The ground and cars are covered and it’s still snowing.  Maybe the roads will get worse over the evening.  One could hope.

Note to self…the PDG must die!

Superbowl Around the Corner

With the football season winding down to the final game, I just wanted to jot down some thoughts about the 49ers season. Going into the season, I would have been happy if the 49ers won 9 games and have a winning season for the first time since 2002. However, this season went better then expected and even though they lost the NFC Championship to the NY Giants, I was happy with the season they played. If they keep getting better, the next years are going to be fun and I’m sure a few Super Bowls will be won.

Next week I get to sit back and watch the Super Bowl and then look forward to next season. Between now and then, I can cheer on the Red Devils who are 16th in the League and the Sharks who are first in the division. I know that the wife is looking forward to the NASCAR season to start in a few weeks.

For the Super Bowl prediction…My 49ers all the way!

However for the actual game, Patriots 20 Giants 17.

No Snow

Sad to say that since the beginning of winter, we have had snow on the ground for a grand total of 8 hours. The feeling of the weather is like an eternal autumn. I would love to see snow like we’ve experienced in the last two years. However, today, we just experienced a teasing of snowfall. Small flakes that looked like they were going to stick. Sadly, they melted before any accumulation could take place. Another day without snow. Another autumn day complete. Soon, spring will appear from its hiding place around the corner. If I wanted a winter without snow, I would have stayed in Texas.
